The S.P.O.R.T. Foundation honors the life of Jonathan Krome, MD. He had an incredible influence and supporter for local athletics. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and dedication to his patients. The void of his expertise will be forever felt for the local community.

Jonathan was born in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Southfield-Lathrup High School in Southfield, Michigan, where he was a member of the wrestling team, and graduated in 1984. He was a 1988 graduate of the University of Michigan, where he majored in economics and played soccer. He then studied at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he graduated in 1992.

Over the course of several years, Dr. Krome served as the team physician for both the Danville Braves and Averett University Athletics. In addition to that, he interacted with athletes on a consistent basis while working with Pittsylvania County Schools and Danville Public Schools.
